If you are debating on changing your life and working from home versus working for someone else, maybe you should weigh the benefits of a work from home/home-based business. Once you have done this, you will more than likely never work for someone else again. So what are the benefits of a work from home/home-based business? Well, let’s look at a few of them, one at a time.

You can take your vacations whenever you choose to. No more fighting with seniority issues. You just choose the dates you want to come and go, and take your vacation. And you can even choose to leave earlier, and come back later if you want to. No more 1-2 vacations per year. You can take as many vacations as you want. Plus if you want to temporarily relocate for a couple/ few months (snow-birds), just take your laptop with you. You can work from anywhere in the world on your laptop.

Another great benefit of a work from home business is that you can be your own boss. No more grumpy, miserable, out to get you bosses. No more worrying about not getting along with the boss or having to kiss their butt. You answer to yourself (and your family) and no-one else! No more fighting for promotions with other co-workers. Your self-promotion in your own work from home business depends solely on you. You can promote yourself any time you want. And if you’re feeling lazy about something, you can just outsource it to someone else.

You also get the credit for all your hard work and success in your work from home/home-based business. No more doing all the work just so someone else gets all the credit. It’s all you! But at the same time, you also get credit for all your failures. You own it either way, success or failure. But if you have the right mentors, trainers, coaching, and opportunity or program, you should be okay. But more on that topic in another article.

And let’s take a look at commuting expenses. You don’t have to have a car and insurance to work online from your home. You don’t have to pay for fuel to travel back and forth to work. You don’t have to spend a half-hour to several hours every day commuting back and forth to work. And if you do have a vehicle, your ownership and insurance costs would be reduced.

You can work when you want and take off when you want. Think about it, if you want to go out at 2:15 PM for drinks with a friend, then you just go. Or if you would rather go golfing or fishing the first half of the day, then you can do so. If you want to start work at six in the morning, or go back to work at midnight, then as all as you have to do, is go to your computer and start working. You don’t have to leave the house & wait for access to a building to go to work. You can take off with your kids and family to go to games, practices, picnics, or the beach whenever you choose. It’s all up to you! What you choose to do with your business along with its successes and failures is completely up to you and no-one else.
